Statement from the Artisan

Your support of my craft will translate directly to your help of underprivileged people around the world, because my work in the U.S. affords me the opportunity to give back to the global community through volunteer work.

I've always had an active interest in reaching out to those who are less fortunate. Over the past 25 years I've worked with men, women, and children from many walks of life, who face all kinds of challenges, in urban and rural communities from the U.S. to Africa. Soon my volunteer work will take me to Asia for the first time.

From September 2010 to March 2011 I expect to be working in the Philippines on a project related to disaster response and the prevention of human trafficking. This will be my fourth term as a Peace Corps volunteer.

I will be available for your carpentry or construction project in the U.S. in March of 2011.

I am always interested in planning my next construction project, whether that might be in the San Francisco Bay area, Seattle, or Hawai'i. I'm very well experienced in living and working in these areas, and people are usually surprised that I can be available and provide the very best work at the very most modest prices available.

As a long time West Coast and Hawai'i resident, I've done small and large jobs very cost effectively in all three of these places, but I'm also able to execute projects at other remote and foreign locations as well.

I'd like for you to consider that your next construction, home repair or home improvement project might accomplish much more than just your design goals. While building or improving your home, you might at the same time help to serve the needs of a struggling third world while still benefitting from the highest quality and most cost effective choice available.
